Mr. 20M Instagram followers and the actor of his generation...

I love seeing young ingenues that get endlessly forced upon us by their PR teams fail. Kid, just do indies for the next decade and build your resume and reputation, this isn't rocket science.

His PR will use every excuse to try to rationalize the mediocre box office numbers. Inflation, covid lingering in the background, poor weekend for all movies, tricky subject matter, he's borderline supporting in the movie, etc. None of that matters. If he really is the actor of his generation with 18 million Instagram followers, then this should've been a slam dunk for him. Yes everybody has bombs and not everything is box office gold but he's had enough time, experience, and fawning profiles under his belt. I don't feel too bad for him. In addition to being completely mediocre, he's an annoying attention whore with a massive ego. To be fair, I don't want to just pick on him. I think all the other "stars" of his generation: Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh are all equally overrated and overhyped. After pretty much non stop fawning profiles since September, the movie came in at 7th place with $3.7 million. Whoever said Chalamet and his PR's claim that people are drawn to his looks and talent and that he can put butts on seats depends on nobody questioning it hit the nail on the head. After a week in theaters, the public beyond teenage girls and Gen Z entertainment journalists said no I will not like or support this guy just because you tell me to all the time. Bye bye Timothee Chalamet.

He must be pissed that this ruined his Thanksgiving.

He doesn’t appeal to Middle America

Why do posters on DL think that a film has to make lots of money to be good? Some of the greatest films ever were not box office. It’s a bold film and the principles got very good reviews. Stick to Marvel OP and free floating anger.

And Luca just bags a new film with Daniel Craig.
He is going to be alright.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 13, 2022 1:33 PM |
It got very strong reviews for a horror movie. I’ll definitely check it out as I’m a horror fan.
Always baffles me why people who are sexually obsessed with a celebrity are so pleased by the celeb’s failure. I guess they want to see the celeb punished for having the audacity not to be in a relationship with them.

It’s available for rental now on Amazon Prime. I decided to give it a try. He and the black chick have zero chemistry. His hookup with the carnival worker guy was ten times more believable than anything with the female lead. Having said that, his gay hookup scene was let’s just underwhelming. He can wear women’s clothing but the rat fucker can’t be bothered to show a little cock.

the curse of Zendaya is intact. she a jinx.

at a current BO total of $7.2M it's far from alone. She Said has made $5.6M, The Fabelmans $7.3M, Till $8.9 and Tar and Whale if they ever go into wide release will not fare better.

tar looks bozo.....
timmy baby is alwys in fashion and he puts asses in the seats if its a good film. bones was Not.

He should have hired Armie Hammer.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 26, 2022 1:53 AM |
Does he share his ass with directors/producers? No way he fuks that messy Zendaya.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 1, 2023 2:41 AM |
I saw this. I didn't completely hate it, but it was pretty meh and went on one act too long. I know cannibals aren't vampires per se, but they both feed on humans and I just didn't think we needed another "vampire" movie after a decade of movies and shows. It added nothing to the "they walk among us" vampire/other genre.

I saw the trailer at the movies. Instant OH FUCKING HELL NO on that one. Sounds like a lot of people felt the same way.

Rex Reeds Review was hilarious ------->> "Bones and All’: A Blood-Filled Two-Hour Trash Fest of Dreamy-Eyed Cannibals".........."(Timothee) Desperate to change his image, in Bones and All he appears pale green and anemic looking, with dyed orange hair and ripped clothes designed to show a body that weighs no more than 100 pounds soaking wet."

Chloe Sevigny was totally wasted in this. Her role entails two minutes of screen time.

I like seeing him at award shows since he always wears something interesting.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 1, 2023 3:50 AM |
omg he looks shitty in this movie, whata waste of good cock/ass. and zendaya ? NEVER NEVER

R8, You speak truth. However, it does not follow that poor Box Office means a film is good.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 1, 2023 4:43 AM |
R13, The only two movies of 2022 to really lure audiences to theaters were "Top Gun: Maverick" and "Elvis."
And I'll predict right now that "Dune: Part 2" will be a big Box Office hit next Autumn. Check back with me.

It's not Zendaya, it's a store brand Zendaya.

What he'll wear at the Razzies.

Rex Reed = "Timothee is also the producer of Bones and All, so he has only himself to blame. It’s a preposterous debacle that might work better as a Halloween skit on Saturday Night Live, but it takes itself seriously, which makes it seem even sillier. I found the result too sick and disgusting to describe, but not interesting enough to care."

[quote]timmy baby is alwys in fashion and he puts asses in the seats if its a good film. bones was Not.
So he's only a draw if the film he's in is also a draw?
And if it's not a good film, why did he sign on as both an actor and producer?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 1, 2023 3:45 PM |
I can see it, r29! Much like Austin's "Plirt" sketch with the "Please Don't Destroy" guys!
So they pitch basically Raw Soylent Green (pre-Smoothies). At the end the Guest Host (not TC, unless he's willing to self-mock) turns to the camera and, with bloody mouth and a come-hither look (maybe with Chloe, eating a bone, seductively hanging on him), stage-whispers,
"Bones."

Besides Dune the success of which didn't depend on the star, what film starring Tim-O-Tay was a BO success?

Coming to terms with…you’re a talent free rat who can’t open a movie unless a big franchise is behind it.

He seems to think he's never made a mistake. If I had a media that never criticized or scrutinized me, I would probably feel the same way.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 2, 2023 4:56 PM |
Look at those fucking jeans. No wonder the film bombed.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 2, 2023 5:02 PM |
R18: Which directors/producers do you think he's fucked?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 3, 2023 1:04 AM |
I don't get the appeal over this pipsqueak being forced as some sort of Leading Man.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 3, 2023 5:56 AM |
this movie is RAZZIE BOUND...
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 11, 2023 3:15 AM |
It underperformed, grossing $14 million against a $16-20 million budget. It didn't "bomb." No one expected this prestige arthouse cannibalism romance to be a box office hit.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 11, 2023 3:33 PM |
is he nuts? how could he try to film such a shitty script. good god.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 11, 2023 4:05 PM |
R43, No-one expected the Spanish Inquisition.
No-one expected the attack on the Twin Towers (per CR).
But "Bones and All" as a Box-office hit? Yes, THAT was expected.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 11, 2023 4:57 PM |
R26, Dune Part 1 didn’t do THAT well at the box office. Domestically, it didn’t even recoup its budget. I’m not expecting Dune Part 2 to be anymore impressive.
